THE BAY GULL CELEBRATES NARRAGANSETT BAY

Author & Illustrator debuts RI Children's Book for the Fourth of July

 

Emerson M. Colwell, Jr., a native of Bristol, RI currently residing in Peoria, AZ will debut his new book "The Bay Gull" in RI the first week of July.

 


The book, a tale about a sea gull who shares his bagel with new friends on his journey, features illustrated locations from Bristol, Prudence Island, Hog Island, Newport, Jamestown, Narragansett and Block Island. The author added an illustrated map of the bay area providing a geography lesson for readers.

 


Although the book is based is RI, the audience is all children at heart who enjoy a great story.

 

10% of all proceeds from the book will be donated to local organizations working to preserve the beauty of the state. Interested recipients can contact Mona Colwell.

Thursday, July 2nd from 2-4 PM at Social Expressions, 295 S. Main Street, Providence, RI

Friday, July 3rd from 7 - 9 AM at Bristol Bagel Works, 420 Hope Street, Bristol, RI

Friday, July 3rd from 11 AM - 2 PM at A Novel Idea, 450 Hope Street, Bristol, RI
Saturday, July 4th from 8:30 -11 AM at 101 High Street, Bristol, RI (before the Parade)

Sunday, July 5th from 12 - 2 PM at Armchair Sailor, 543 Thames St, Newport, RI
