Who lived by the bay...

 

 

 

The sea gull's first lighthouse stop is Hog Island, located South East of Bristol, RI.

Emerson M. Colwell, Jr, children's author & illustrator, offers presentations to students throughout the U.S. A father of three, he enjoys helping children to develop a love for reading, writing and drawing.

In addition to hearing the story which is based on sharing, the children will have the opportunity to learn about

  - Rhode Island state & New England history

  - Marine wildlife

  - Environmental issues facing our waterways

Students may also be interested in learning about the process of writing and illustrating a book and Emerson is happy to share his story with the students.
