The sea gull's first lighthouse stop is Hog Island, located South East of Bristol, RI.
Emerson M. Colwell, Jr & Mona Colwell offer presentations to students throughout the U.S. Parents of three, they enjoy helping children to develop a love for reading, writing and drawing.
In addition to hearing the story which is based on sharing, the children will have the opportunity to learn about
- Lighthouses and their significance in history
- Rhode Island state & New England history
- Marine wildlife
- Environmental issues facing our waterways
Students may also be interested in learning about the process of writing and illustrating a book. Emerson & Mona are happy to share their story with the students.
